Positions:

José Rodríguez Mirasol, Full Professor in Málaga University, has been focussed in biomass and industrial wastes revalorization for more than 20 years. He has applied to those materials thermochemical processes, characterized then and used in adsorption and catalysis to reduce or eliminate pollutants in gas or liquid phases. He has also developed new systems aimed to a more sostenible processes and moved forward in biorefinery, adding catalysts from vegetal biomass to get biofuels and industrial chemicals funded by public institutions. He has joined more than 28 research projects (3 international, 6 european, 12 national and 7 locals), being often lead researcher. He has been also funded by private companies and arranged 10 contracts with them. He has published around 130 research articles in highly impact scientific journals (JCR) in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Technology and Material Technology areas. He has also 3 patents, 9 book chapters and more than 250 communications to international or national congresses. All of those contribution have captured the attention of scientific-technical comunity in the aforementioned areas, providing him a high number of citations (more than 6200), a H index (Hirsch) of 46 and 5 six-year research periods. 2004-2007: Representative of GDR of MICINN (Spain) in the Member State Mirror Group of “Water Supply and Sanitation Technology Platform”
