Positions:

Juana María Rosas Martínez, Chemical Engineer from Málaga Universtity in 2003, got her PhD (in the same University) in 2009, having Tomás Cordero Alcántara and José Rodríguez Mirasol, both full professors in the Chemical Engineering department, as supervisors. During her predoctoral time, she was focussed in biomass and industrial wastes revalorization through thermochemical processes, its characterization and its application in adsorption and catalytic processes, aiming to reduce or eliminate pollutants in flue gas. She also worked on development of new systems which can help in sostenibility and moved forward in biorefinery, adding catalysts from vegetal biomass to get biofuels and industrial chemicals. Besides, she analized the use of electrospry/electrospinning in inorganic catalysts preparation for catalystic applications. She was finalist in the 5th Award of Young Researcher from Spanish Carbon Group due to her thesis. In 2010, she joined the groups of Full Professor Arturo Romero Salvador, in the Chemical Engineering Department in Complutense University of Madrid, through a doctoral Juan de la Cierva resarcher contract, a Spanish competitive basis subprogram. In this time, she studied the in-situ remediation of soils using oxidation techniques, like Fenton, and she researched the deactivation and regeneration of differente catalytic systems. In 2014, she joined the group of the Full Professor Diego Cazorla Amorós in Alicante University, as a doctor researcher, associated to an international Spanish-Japanese project, to prepare electrocatalysts and several advance materials through electrospraying/electrospinning to energy storage.

At the moment, she worked as a Associate Professor in Málaga University and she is a part of Full Professor Cordero (TEP-184).

She has joined 13 research projects in competitive basis, funded by public institutions (1 international, 7 national and 4 locals). She has published more than 48 research articles in highly impact scientific journals (JCR) in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Technology and Material Technolosy areas. He has also 2 patents and more than 70 communications to international or national congresses. All of those contribution have captured the attention of scientific-technical comunity in the aforementioned areas, providing her a high number of citations (moer than 1600), a h index (Hirsch) of 22 and 2 six-year research periods.
